HISTORY
This is presumably the Newport Intermediate Technical School for Boys on Queen's Hill. Built in 1896, at a cost of £12,900, for 250 children; established under the Welsh Intermediate Education Act, 1889, and controlled by the Central Welsh Board.
There was also a Newport Intermediate Technical School for Girls.
